TRIBUTES

MA Senate President Therese Murray

Massachusetts Senate President
August 26, 2009

From the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to the current debate on national health care reform, Senator Kennedy assembled an agenda that addressed the needs of the common man and the most vulnerable of our citizens. In a career that spanned nearly five decades, he was a tireless advocate, statesman and fighter who changed the landscape for Americans with disabilities and children with special needs, codifying services and reshaping our cultural mindset. And, always, he was a champion for Massachusetts.
